High Pressure Pumps / Homogenizers
Homogenizers are used to modify the physical properties of a liquid or mixture by creating emulsions (liquid in liquid suspension) or dispersions (solid in liquid suspension). The homogenization process utilizes high pressure to force a mixture at high velocity through a narrow gap valve. A combination of impingement, cavitation and shear forces reduce the size of suspended particles and globules resulting in stable, uniform and consistent mixtures of product. Homogenizers at extremely high pressures are also used to disrupt microbial cell suspensions.

High-Pressure Pumps are used to supply the feed to spray dryers equipped with one and two fluid nozzles. They are also employed as a feed pump for a growing market of reverse osmosis systems used in concentrating functional and sensitive products in the dairy, foods, pharmaceutical and biotechnologies industries

How it Works
As product moves through the narrow gap of the homogenizer valve, energy stored in the high pressure fluid is quickly converted to a stream of high velocfity fluid. A combination of impingement, implosion and shear forces disrupt the suspended particles reducing it to an emulsion or dispersion.

HP-50 High Pressure Pump / Homogenizer is the smallest pump in our product line having a capacity up to 50 gph and achieving pressures up to 15,000 psi. It can be used as a high pressure pump for small spray dryers, as a small production or laboratory homogenizer, or as a small volume cell disruption device. The pump can be fitted with a manual or pneumatically controlled homogenizing valve, a safety relief valve, high pressure gauge block, high pressure transmitter, variable frequency drive and other options. Applications are found in the food, dairy, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, chemical, plastics, biotechnology and nutraceutical industries.
HP-300 High Pressure Pump / Homogenizer is a small production pump having a capacity range of 30 gph to 800 gph and can achieve pressures as high as 10,000 psi. It can be used as a high pressure pump for small spray dryer applications, as a small production or laboratory homogenizer, or as a cell disruption device. The pump can be fitted with a manual or pneumatically controlled homogenizing valve, a safety relief valve, high pressure gauge block, high pressure transmitter, variable frequency drive and other options. Applications include foods, dairy, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, chemical, plastics, biotechnology and nutraceutical industries.
HP-700 High Pressure Pump / Homogenizer has a capacity up to 150 gph to 2,900 gph and can achieve pressures as high as 10,000 psi. It can be used as a high pressure pump for spray dryer applications, as a production homogenizer, or as a cell disruption device. The pump can be fitted with a manual or pneumatically controlled homogenizing valve, a safety relief valve, high pressure gauge block, high pressure transmitter, variable frequency drive and other options. Applications include foods, dairy, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, chemical, plastics, biotechnology and nutraceutical industries.
HP-1400 High Pressure Pump / Homogenizer has a capacity up to 440 gph to 5,200 gph and can achieve pressures as high as 10,000 psi. It can be used as a high pressure pump for spray dryer applications, as a production homogenizer, or as a cell disruption device. The pump can be fitted with a manual or pneumatically controlled homogenizing valve, a safety relief valve, high pressure gauge block, high pressure transmitter, variable frequency drive and other options.
